Herself got a new TV for Xmas and I thought as it was the same firmware/engine as my TV it would be as easy to set up.

I have a silvercrest lidl TV and she has a walker power city TV. I used an old rf cable with the copper wire sticking out an a ancient aerial to get all the stations up here. I tried the same down there and all I get a ghost picture of rte one.

The houses are being knocked down and changed around in six or so months, so is there any cheap short term solutions?

    Thanks for any help

You could try a small cheap indoor aerial available from places like Powercity or a €2 shop and sit it near a window pointing in the direction of your nearest transmitter or move it to different areas of the room otherwise an external or attic aerial might be required.

Thanks, I had the aerial resting on the metal curtain tie backs and extended right out towards the window.

I suppose its dvds until the house it sorted and get an aerial or just an extra UPC connection/subscription.
