Skyrim is an offline single player game without the need for an online code(or is there one for exclusive dlc)?
I haven't played it yet, so if I'm wrong, I apologise.

If you can buy FIFA/BF3 and then buy an online pass for less than a new copy of the game, then why not.

Personally, I buy my games new. They're usually only E5 dearer.

    I'm with F1ngers on this.
Unless you are seeing a significant saving I'd prefer more money go to the developers than straight to the store.

Anyway - as I am playing this I can confirm there is NO activation code needed so a 2nd hand game will play just like new unless of course the disk has been damaged. Prepare to kiss all your free time goodbye though :)

Just out of curiousity if I were to buy a game 2nd hand then an online pass code for it, where could I buy the code? How much are the codes to buy/worth?

    Thanks ;)

Because for the sake of a couple of quid, it's nice to support the developer with a new purchase rather than the retailer with a second hand one. :)

Depending on the game, you can generally buy them either from the in-game menu or from the main XBLA/PSN marketplace. EA titles, for instance, tend to be sold via the former method. You can read more about the system for EA Sports titles here and other EA titles here.

You would buy the code off the PSN store - when you try to play online, it will say something like "you need an online pass to play" and then bring you to the store to purchase.

I think all online passes cost E10.

    EDIT:

I agree wholeheartedly, for the sake of a few quid.

Ok but I presumed that it was still €30 somewhere else? And games get cheaper as time goes on..

I wonder why its gone back up? Demand I presume?

Probably. My disc cracked a while back, still not sure why, got a voucher to the value of the game when I returned it but I can't find a single shop that has it in stock.
