I mentioned in another thread that Dever Dream and Mille Chief were lost in early Autumn. Since then we've lost 3 Grade 1 winning horses out of Mullins yard Lovethehigherlaw, Kempes and Golden Silver. Add to that previously in the last 12 months Rewilding in the King George and QE, Sam Bass G3 winning juvenile, Racing Post Chase winner Razor Royale, Pride Of Dulcote a Gold Cup candidate, Glencove Marina and Money Trix in the Hennessey.

I'll stop there without going as far as Twist Magic, Tell Masini and others.

Meanus Dandy has reportedly died after an injury sustained in his last race.

It gets frustrating after a while

(Obviously no disrespect to the horses I haven't mentioned)

    From twitter today, :(
    Racing Post @Racing_Post
Trainer Gordon Elliot has announced one of his top staying chasers, Beautiful Sound, has been put down due to a persistent cancerous growth

Hidden Keel was also put down a few weeks back after breaking a leg in his race at Cheltenham.

Alpha Ridge died on Paul Nolan's gallops today, due to a heart attack.

He was entered in the Thyestes next week.

Am just wondering what the point to this conversation is??...horses died?...Obviously race horses but I still dont see the point...are you saying they died because of racing? because i'm sure other horses, that have nothing to do with racing, have died also...just wondered..lol

He's highlighting the unusual amount of top grade horses that have died in the past twelve months

There was another topic on here called 'What Happened Them' when people couldn't find out whether a horse was sold on to Asia,America or whatever or else he had been injured fatefully, sometimes people have an old favorite horse of there's that they haven't heard of or seen on a racecard in a while so think this topic could well be useful in that respect.

Willie Mullins has been very unlucky losing some top animals with potential over the years through injuries(Black Harry,Glencove Marina spring to mind) and fatalities(Golden Silver,Kempes,Cousin Vinny and many more i'm sure)

    Cousin Vinny isn't dead.

He's entered in the Boyne Hurdle on Sunday at Navan.

    Good to hear.

Adding to the thread it was a terrible Cheltenham for horses lost to be honest,

Our Conor, Raya Star, Akdam and Stack The Deck all lost their lives.

It was and I hate the way apart from Our Conor the rest were barely mentioned even on the RP website.

Fenton and O'Leary should be getting ripped out of it about poor Last Instalment as well, pair of greedy scumbags.
