Sky+ Box To Freesat

    So, here's the story - I got a second-hand Sky HD box.

Have a Sky+ box in the sitting room already... was gonna take out the Sky+ box, and pop in the HD box.

I have a Technomate TM-3100D Freesat box in the bedroom.. but was gonna replace it with that Sky+ box instead (mainly because the 3100D can be a bit "dodgy" - incorrect listings, cumbersome and no PVR facility).

Anything I should know before I do it tomorrow? Too late and too shattered to even attempt it.

You'll need to call Sky to pair your subscription to your new HD box.

Once they do this, you won't get PVR functions on your Sky+ box unless you take out a multiroom subscription. If you go down this road, you'll need each Sky box connected to the same active telephone line.

You'll also need two feeds from the sat dish to the bedroom if you want any box to have proper PVR functions (record one, watch another).

    Balls.. really?!

    Not liking this at all!

EDIT: Ahhh.. no PVR on Sky+ box? Could live with that I reckon.

That's not a problem... have a quad LNB anyways (two to Sky HD box - if I do it, and two to Sky+ box).
