Pretty much as the subject says, a friend's Cooper S was stolen from Ballincollig in Cork last night. It's Pepper White, with a black roof, black bonnet stripes, and a full black leather interior. The stripes may be removed by now, and I'm sure the plates will have been changed too.

Here's a link to the photo I'm asking people to share on FB, and if Motorcheck is around, you might flag the car on your system if you get a chance too please.

Thanks in advance guys, appreciate it!

Jesus that's unreal! Will keep an eye out and share on fb!

Hopefully the feckers will be caught and get what they deserve!

Are the wheels anything special, they look quite big in that small pic you have, it'd make the car stand out at least.

EDIT: If you want a sticky just let me know, but it'll probably get more traffic as is.

Thanks Alan, Wheels are standard Chili Pack 17" Crown Spoke Alloys, nearly every S will have them on it. I'd say we're better off unstickying it. The FB campaign has turned up one lead already in a Multistorey. It's the only photo I have too btw :(

Not a good sign really. You would expect they will probably burn it out when they are finished. Hopefully they are caught beforehand.

If it was mine, I'd prefer it if the thieves burnt it and let me get the insurance. If it is just dumped with lots of borderline-repairable damage, that'd be worse.

    How are you finding out?

    Gardaí, boards, fb or other?

Just wondering like and good luck with the search

Posted to FB. Will keep a watch out also..

You never know, It might be found as I had a Vectra stolen once and it was used in an armed robbery in Whites Cross. Got it back with just under 3k pounds damage. 2 doors and stereo equipment taken out of it. Replace locks etc.
Will keep fingers crossed for the owner.

Surely if you are involved in criminality you'd want to steal something a bit more discreet??
A white Mini with black stripes hardly fits the bill! (lovely car btw)

Good news, it's been recovered in Limerick! Not sure of the condition yet, but it's still a happy ending. Plates had been changed. Could I be a pest and ask everyone who's shared the photo to take them down now?

The girl in question is really really grateful for everyone's help on all the forum's this has been mentioned on, and through Social Networking. Well chuffed with the response too :)

Check under the seats, my mate found 10 rounds of live ammo under the seat when the Garda tech guys were finished with it.

Given how popular/common they are these days, who really gives a standard one a second glance besides someone who's an actual fan of Mini's? ;)

Not saying we don't have our own undesirables in Cork, but there's an "extended family" from limerick who moved down not too far from Ballincollig recently. Robberies etc have increased dramatically in rural areas nearby....
