    Hey guys/gals,

Was just wondering if anyone knows if or what Charter operations Aer Lingus will operate this year! Rumour has it they will do some charter work ex LGW.

Also apparantly some RE ATR 42's are being painted in EI colours and are to join EI regional. Is this true? if so what routes will they fly? and will they get cabin upgrades first ?

There's no EI regional, they will remain Aer Arann operated even if the tickets are sold as Aer Lingus.

Indeed the aircraft are actually Aer Arann operated under the Aer Lingus Regional scheme...from talking to one of my mates who is a pilot with Aer Arann, he is being told that the Aer Arann painted aircraft remaining will all be put into the Aer Lingus regional paint scheme by the end of June at the latest..

ATR42 EI-CBK is in Shannon being worked on at the moment. It should look well in the Aer Lingus Regional livery.

Yes it should ! I cant wait to see the 42's in EI livery! However im concerned about the cabin interiors of the older ATRs ! Now the aircraft themselves ive no issue with but the ATR 42's have dreadful cabin interiors! Will they be upgraded before the aircraft are sent to operate under the EI brand ? I hope so because from my experience of RE's 42's they badly need it:eek:

I understand the interiors are being upgraded as well.

The interiors of the 42s are shocking alright, doesn't bother me for a short flight but doesn't help the image, especially for the nervous flyer who probably isn't delighted to see a pair of propellers in the first place :p

Been an age since I was on one of their 42s, I presume the interior is unchanged since their initial delivery still?
