Importance of ATPL results going forward

Hi all. I'm sure this may be a regular question, but I'm just wondering if airlines look at your ATPL results in the recruitment stage? I'm pretty confident that I'll get a decent average(85-90%+), but I'd just like to know if it comes up at all in the applications process or at interview? And do they delve into your flight test results too?

Just a question that's been spinning around in my head for a while!

I dont think it matters too much.

Aim high regardless. 75% is a high pass mark. Give yourself a little buffer zone just in case. You may be tired on the day and not performing to your potential.

I got 93% average 6 years ago and still I am waiting for that call from NASA. Any day now...

I think it matters but it's not the be all end all. Your ATPL results and flight test performances are some of the few things that can differentiate you from the average cadet. If you do average in these areas, then you will need to impress in the HR and knowledge department during an interview. Having good results may give you that head start to whether you will be successful in getting a job quickly.

But again, it's no way the deciding factor and I know someone who got okay ATPL results and a first time fail in the MEIR and still got a job really quickly and that was only a few months ago so they obviously look at everything, not just a few exam results.

Sorry for bringing this thread back up. I'm just wondering do airlines look at your Junior Cert and Leaving Cert grades? Or my degree grades? I'm assuming the most important thing is the license but I'm just curious about other factors
