Hyundai i30 petrol 1.4L low revs

    I've a 2011 Hyundai i30, petrol/manual transmission/1.4L engine.
    Very satisfied in general.
The only thing I've begun to notice is that, at low revs, say in a carpark or when slowed in traffic (in 1rst or sometimes 2nd gear) if I take my foot pressure slightly off the gas the car can seem to get a bit jerky and in extreme cases judder or become quite unsmooth in its forward motion.

I mentioned this to an old-school motoring enthusiast (work colleague) and he wondered whether it was a flywheel issue.

Just to be clear it happens when the car is fully engaged in the gear.
I notice it particularly when slowly travelling around a Tesco carpark, etc when trying to get a space or go slowly to avoid pedestrians.

Obviously with the 5yr warranty etc I will take it to dealers to check out.
It may be all in my mind .. but I've been driving for over 15yrs and don't seem to recall this with other cars.
Another minor thing (which could be related), the ISG override switch (ISG stops the car when at traffic lights, etc) is on the blink now.
By default the car shuts out the engine for fuel economy when it detects you have come to a dead stop (eg traffic lights). I used to overried it on short journeys but since the winter I've noticed the override is constantly on and cannot be cancelled.

Just a follow on from this.

    To summarise.

    2011 Hyundai i30 petrol /automatic / 1.4L

In general what might be going on in a hatchback petrol when in low gears/low revs the car does a certain amount of rodeo style jerky motion before settling down ?

    Actually..
I am bringing in the i30 to the dealers early next week as they said they will look at it.

The problem rings a bell with the servicing guy.
It seems that some sensor which relates to gear changes has gone in the past on some other i30s which have the ISG (Intelligent stop/go) feature.
The other tell-tale is that the indicator which prompts the driver to change gear has not been appearing since the uneven/bucking at low revs problem appeared.

Anyone know what that sensor might be ?
It will be covered under the 5 yr warranty, in any case, assuming that this is what the root cause is....

The problem may also be simply that the latest generation of cars have very long gearing for cruising fuel economy, this can take some getting used to.

The wifes car needs first gear when moving slowly in traffic etc where shorter geared cars can easily roll along in second as normal.

Interesting point and something I wasn't aware of but had a hunch might be the case.
    However, given that

    1. The indicator which advises the driver to change gear has gone blank.
    and
    2. The ISG override light is constantly on and cannot be cancelled.

I think there is something more electrical/sensor wise wrong.

I missed your last post with the shift light not working etc......electronic problem more likely the case so. Should be covered under warranty without issue.
