    Hi all :)

Long story short i was rear ended at the start of December while stopped at a roundabout, that done quite alot of damage to my car, but more importantly myself :( Had to get on to a soicitor because the 3rd party was ignoring my calls and no action was being taken.

So question is would i be better off going through the Personal injuries board or court?

You have to go through the injuriesboard first. You can reject their assessment though and then go to court.

Correct. It is €45 to file the claim with the Injuries Board (PIAB). It is likely you will need to fund the solicitor to get medical reports, etc.

Your solicitor should issue you with a written statement of likely costs as soon as possible, if not before engagement, which is known as a Section 68 letter.
