Opel Insignia - "Service ESP" warning light

"Service ESP" warning had been coming up for a week or so. Wanted to drop the car in for it's annual service soon anyhow so did so this week (Opel main dealer)

Told the mechanic I dealt with about the warning light. Picked the car up Wednesday, warning light came back on again today.

    Just wondering:

    - is this a sign the mechanic didn't bother checking it out?
    - could the warning light be faulty?
    - the car is still under warranty for about another 4-5 weeks. Does my warranty cover this? Did a google search and a UK forum said it would be covered in the UK on a Vauxhall warranty but no mention of Opel

    Thanks in advance!

First, you need to ask the mechanic what he did to solve the problem. It sounds to me though that he just cleared the error message from the car's ECU with his diagnostic equipment. When the car was driven again the same issue was still there so the warning message popped up again.

If your car is still under warranty then get it looked at by a main dealer.
