Hey, I see this kill flash thing lately everywhere, what is it? All I saw it's some kind of pentagon shaped net? Will it withstand impact if bb hits it?

Most scopes (same applies to red dot sights) have large glass surfaces which could, in theory, allow the enemy to find the location of a sniper if the sun was to glint off the lens. A killflash is any cover that goes over the objective (front) lens but they are often made from various types of perforated metal mesh. This mesh will typically withstand BB hits thus protecting the lens.

You can make some from some fine fish net, the stiff on the inside of a cheap pair of tracksuit bottoms or just whatever you can get your hands on. Yes if you are facing the sun it stops glint, and for sniper rifles it eliminates the black hole syndrome you get from sunshades (Only when painted green) - (When your all ghillied up your scopes 'black hole' gives you away.)

Downside is that you'll receive less light in the scope and therefore a darker image, + If you are using mesh goggles it'll be hard to see through bot clearly, it'll be very dark.
(I am talking in terms of scopes here, not RDS)
