is the reason i havent played a ladder match in about 6 months.

Anyone else play it death like myself and a few friends?

The problem is most people are very bad at it and its hard to get a game till the end, anyone here any good feel like playing us?

Ok I admit to playing this a lot today! It's easy to play while alt+tabbing.

I'm trying to figure whats the correct strategy to follow when building workers. As in, when you do you opt for the 40% speed over getting another worker? This should be easy with pen and paper but haven't bothered yet

edit, I'll try now:

60 = cost of worker (x)
60 = cost of first upgrade

Upgrade gives you 40% increased speed of worker so I'm going to assume that means 40% more resources overall per round trip. I'm equating the amount of resources a worker brings in to its cost for simplicity, it shouldn't matter what the value is as long as I'm consistent.
3x = 160

40% x 160 = 72
72 > 60

So once you have 3 workers you gain more by getting the upgrade next

3 is definitely your first speed.

and you definitely get last speed after youve finished last worker.

Everything in between is dependant on a few factors. If you are playing with a custom builder, your workers move slower but you can get more so i get speed earlier than i do with a pure builder.

3 7 12 18ish 31 for custom
3 9 17 27 31 for pure

however, it all entirely depends on what income you have, what money your floating and what wave you're on. For example, if you have 7 workers, 120 minerals and youve just finished zealot wave, then go second speed as the next wave isnt as hard as zealots. If you have 17 workers, 200 minerals and your about to start wave 17, you probably should build instead and sneak in 1 worker or save the 50 for speed the next round.


Currently playing celestial eco which is getting boring because unless your playing a dual lane combo, there is nothing anyone can do to stop you.

I find it quite slow. If there was a version with increased speed I'd be happier to play it but you just spend too much time waiting around.

Couldn't agree more. The lack of micro drives me insane as well. I often alt+tab if i play this much to the irritation of my teammates, I have on occasion completely forgot I was even playing

I quite like how slow it is, particularly in chaos when you have a range of decisions such as what to build/upgrade/sell/replace.
