Anyone been to Jeju Island, South Korea?
I have a short (4 day) business trip there and am finding it impossible to figure out DIY flights/routes on the web.
    Any experience/advice greatly appreciated.

I went in 2009, flew direct from Seoul. Gorgeous island - we stayed in the Hyatt i think. We were there for 3 nights-wouldn't have stayed much longet tbh - not that much to do!Beaches are amazing!

Beautiful island alright. Try asiana, korean air websites maybe? I would seriously recommend renting a car as korean tours of the island are nt great. Everyone get off the bus, take a pic and lets go.
Defo worth a trip but would think that your own transport would be ideal. Its not hard to drive there once out of the cities it is straightforward

You can fly from Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong as well as Korea of course. Korean air, Asiana, Jeju air etc will fly from Seoul or Busan. Its a cool island, stone walls not unlike Galway etc. You can rent a car or hire a taxi driver for a day. We hired a taxi driver through our hotel, it cost about 100,000won for the day with him. Def do the volcano, quad bike riding around the base of it, beaches etc.

    Enjoy the trip.

Pretty much did the same thing in 2010 for a little bit longer, even stayed in the same hotel. Found it to be a nice island but not much to do. Didn't think the beaches were all that great.

+1 on renting the car the drivers on Jeju are a lot more relaxed compared to main land Korea. I would avoid the local taxi drivers and tours.

Thanks for all the advice. It sounds like a great place to visit.
Unfortunately due to family commitments I can only spend 4 days (almost all work :(), which means direct access in/out, preferably on a thru ticket is what I have been trying to find.
It seems all flights from Seoul to Jeju depart via Gimpo domestic and not Incheon Int.. I'll check out routes via Taiwan, etc.
