Anyone know why I can only receive channels 42 and 43?
    Thanks

Hard to say without looking at what you are using.
All are perfect here at the moment [arklow] thats 42,43,46,49 and the hd mux on 50.

However there is an area of high pressure about so that could be causing co channel on some of your preseli channels which would knock them out ,not all but some.
The llandonna tx is the usual culprit.

Well, ch.45 will be subject to interference from Mt. Leinster, ch.50 is the DVB-T2 mux, so may not be detected by your receiver.

As for the rest, well you haven't exactly given us much to work with; could be any no. of reasons. A rundown of your aerial system would be a help.

And a location too (Taghmon?), rather than just assuming you're somewhere in Wexford.

    Hi all
Thanks for replies. Yes in Taghmon Co. Wexford. Have Saorview TV. All I know about aerial is that it is there for years and could pick up the analogue channels from Wales. The signal quality of Ch 45 fluctuates between very good and good - Ch 43 medium and poor - Ch 42 poor. No signal at all on any other channel. Wondering if it could be aerial problem or do you think it is a lost cause!
    Thanks

Looks like you have Forth Mountain between you & Preseli; hardly ideal, satellite will be more reliable.

Up to yourself if you want to get someone to look at the aerial.

Taghmon County Wexford is not Freeview friendly to many distant hills in the way Freesat is the way to go
