Correct me if im wrong but im Watching Entourage and this just popped up.
Is that really! a British Airways in old livery in 2006-8?

    Entourage.png

If not i would love to know why they were cheap skates and pulled up a video from the 90's considering (im probably wrong) the last MD 10 they had retired in '99

and by the looks of it everyone(Airline) had an MD which, now days from what i heard they are becoming extinct?

Also their is a Britannia in there too  although they ceased operations in 05 accordingly. But im still put of by the BA

I would guess that is just old footage. I see an old Delta widget on an L-1011 too.

its definitely 10+ years since Delta had an L-1011, also in that pic

Yeah that photo has a very 80's feel to it. All the liveries there are ancient!

Wat just amazes me is the quality. It's very fine I'm watching in semi hd and no video has been this fine I nearly missed it but it caught my eye by chance. But that's Hollywood for ya...

Brittania is also in there, is that Manchester?

RTE news still show aircraft footage from the early 90s, oil stained Ryanair 732s and Aer Lingus F50 props. Anyone with an interest in aviation would notice but I guess a jet is a jet to a lot of people.

No thats Gatwick before the North Terminal was built I think.

I spy Air Europe , is the gold tail a World DC10 ? and who's is the F27 hidden by the building ?

The BA DC10's were the old BCal ones wern't they ?

    Gatwick it is.

The gold tail is a Continental DC-10, the F-27 is most likely Jersey European.

Thats worse. The Clip in question has nothing to do with Europe they were flying in america. The plane landing is also a MD-10 AA

Just behind the nearest Air Europe tail on the left you can just about make out a Dan Air 737 tail. They went out of business in 1992 while Air Europe went in 1991.

Between the Delta and the F27, does anyone know what tail that is, could it be a Lauda?

I was a regular spotter at LGW in the 80s , I don't remember Lauda air there , but I could be forgetting of course . The regular stuff would have blended into the background TBH

Anyone else remember the roof terrace there , along with the Cafe ?

There and the crash gates by the church were the spotting places. Sat mornings for the Aeroflot Tu134 :-)

Seeing Air Europe reminds me how many airlines grew from nowwhere , became huge almost instantly , then die almost as quick.

When I first started spotting , LGW was BCal , Airtours , Danair ( comets !! ) and Laker of course, Monach were only at Luton , I think they are really the only British ' charter ' airline surviving from the 80's
