Joining coax?

    Hi all,
I want to join coax cable to extend it, but what I was wondering was, should I use coax plugs and a barrel connector, or should I use F-connectors and an F joiner? Which would be the best result?
    Thanks in advance...

Is the joined part indoors? If so then you should be ok, but if outdoors it could lead (no pun intended!) to problems. I'd try to make sure the join is indoors and if not possible, make sure you cover the join really well with amalgamating tape.

    This is the stuff:

Probably could be sourced cheaper online.
