We had Songbird by Eva Cassidy as our processional song. Not sure how it would work as an instrumental though??

You've just reminded me that there's a fiddle player in the brother's band... wonder if I could get him to do the cermony music...

O/H is getting very tempted to copy you irishbird! :p

Often get asked about the instrumental of Everlong by Foo Fighters (due to the fame it got from Friends when Monica and Chandler get married)

failing that, some "unknown" or different arrangements have been:
    Flightless Bird,American Mouth-Iron and Wine
She Moved Through the Fair-Violin Solo
    Landslide-Fleetwood Mac
Spiegel im Spiegel-Arvo Part. (stunning, simple, very suitable for a small wedding where there isn't many guest or much fumbling to see the bride's procession, etc)
    Galileo-Declan O'Rourke.
Your Hand in Mine-Explosions in the Sky.

Hope this gets the creative juices flowing. As long as its special to you and your OH,that's all that matters :)

Hope you don't mind but we've actually just decided to use it in our wedding ceremony. We've a very talented fiddle player and piano player that we're hoping to have play instrumentals of 'To Make You Feel my Love' by Bob Dylan when my fiancée is walking down the isle and 'Don't Stop Believing' as we walk back down it as a married couple. :)

Love your choice of Don't Stop Believing guys.

I think our music when we walk down the isle together will be All you need is love.

We're having Edelweiss from the sound of music. My Dad is walking me down the aisle and it's our favourite film - we even went on a trip to Salzburg just the two of us a few years ago so we thought it was appropriate. Nice to have something about my relationship with the other important man in my life too :) My mother thinks we're mad! Do you have any music that means something to you like that?

Another popular but also a bit different choice is the arrival of the queen of sheba. I thought about that one. It's lovely.

What will you have playing the music OP. Is it a singer, string quartet or an organ or something else?

watna, we chose 'To Make You Feel My Love' for a similar reason: both of our dads are Dylan nuts and my fiancée has seen him with her Dad 3/4 times now!

That's lovely :) I love when you go to weddings and a lot of obvious thought has gone in to the music/reading choices for the ceremony. Makes the day so much more memorable and personal.

Make You Feel Mt Love is always a winner by Adele (written by Bob Dylan).

Have performed it numerous times at churches. Always goes down well, and doesn't seem to upset the priest!!

    It's by Bob Dylan keyboardcrook...

Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Billy Joel, Bryan Ferry, and Adele have never sung the song. Never.

    /sticks fingers in ears :p
