Best resort to go in Corfu for young couple?

Ok folks,

Me and the missus booked flights to Corfu in July, were both 22 and wondering which is the best place to go. We have been told Kavos would be more of a singles holiday, so we have been advised to Sidari. Can anyone shed a bit of light??

Anyone with a brain stays away from Kavos.

The whole island is beautiful

Sidari, Kassiopi, Ipsos may suit you both.

I know the island well

I would say Ipsos. Its lovely and quite but good night life

From what I've heard and read about, stay away from Kavos :eek:

Have a look at www.agni.gr - lots of info on Corfu.

Sidari, Roda or Acharavi all on the North of the island sound like they would suit. http://www.agni.gr/guides/resort_guide/resort_guide.asp

We stayed in Kassiopi a few years ago, it's a pretty resort, but doesn't have a sandy beach (pebbles). It was a little quiet for us, but that may have been the time or year - early June.

If you can, take a trip into Corfu Town, it's a really lovely place to spend an evening.

Kavos is great, if you are 18 and want beer, chips and more beer 24x7.

Its a good ten years sice I was there, but Ipsos was quite good then.

The north of the island is beautiful, especially around Paliokastritsas(sp?)

cheers everyone. Ya not looking for a Kavos style holiday but still want a lively nightlife. Sidari or Ipsos sounds good.
