Point of advertising (no matter how shíte) is to plant the product in your head....... most likely you'll buy insurance from the company who'll give you the cheapest quote..... but you'll call No Nonsense cause they're in yer head -

I don't think they're too bad at all really. Beats the hell out of 123.ie's shockingly annoying efforts.

Then there's FBD's ads, making out that crashing your car is much more enjoyable if you're with FBD. They do this by showing two people who have just been in an accident having a good old friendly chat, all smiles.

Whenever I get insurance I always show around, so I know from experience that when they started out , both NoNonsense and 123.ie were by far the cheapest in the market for car insurance. They blew a lot of the well known insurers out of the water, price-wise.... I'm talking hundreds of euro in the difference over a one year insurance contract.

However, in the interim both of them seem to have spent so much money on their advertising budgets that it is no longer the case and they are almost on a par for price with the usual suspects.

Last time I got insured it was with Allianz who I was surprised to find were a good deal cheaper than both the aforementioned.
