    Hi all,
I live in west Cork in a virtual black hole and have been looking at all ways to get broadband- I have no landline, no mobile reception to speak of, and don't want to get a phone etc...
Satellite seems to be the only way to go..
Read some old posts here but from 2009- Can anyone recommend a company?
some old posts said uk companys better speeds and reliable etc..
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
ps- want bb to research, skype, download movies etc, ....
I'm not very technically up to date with the lingo ! just in case
    Thanks

Watch out for down load ALLOWANCES .I was checking out 10 GB download for 50 -60 euro and it equals about 2 DVDs viewing time really useless if you want ot look at any thing on you tube or you have kids, just so you are aware before you are stuck with a contract. You do also have to becareful of what they might say 'on the phone' about how much viewing time you get for 10GB,buyer be very aware!

If eircom is available, its probably the cheapest most consistent option.

You dont need a phone, it wouldnt have to be plugged in. just the line into the modem.

I wouldnt be inclined to choose sat over a dsl landline.
