Was just thinking there, I always like seeing Tony O'Shea do well, but I expect most do.

Any fellow who gives you a bit of a kick when he does well?

For some reason I always like Steve Beaton. He seems to play with a smile. He may not be so much the Bronzed Adonis any more, but he seems to be comfortable with himself, his career, he doesn't get riled or get too down or start berating himself or the crowd. Someone will probably say they met him and he was a right b----x, but he just looks genial.

Simon Whitlock for me. The year he got TO the PDC World Final, he was just brilliant and made that year's tournament for me so i've been cheering him on ever since!

    Phil Taylor for me

I was only 8 when he won his first lakeside title, so he was my favourite player since then.

I was nearly inconsolable after the 2007 title defeat to Barney. I was watching it in my local in Tallaght and all my mates kept going on about how it was the best game they'd ever seen. But I was just in shock. I had a face like a slapped ar*e.

I don't dislike many players if I'm being honest. I like Mervyn King as well. He's a proper muppet and all, but he's a great character. Same goes for Mr Hankey the Christmas poo

Oh, the only player I never really liked was Alan Warriner, only because when the first PDC tournament was in Ireland a few years ago (rosslare), I was up at the bookie stand collecting my winnings for Taylor whopping Shane Burgess when Warriner was in front of me collecting money himself. I'll always remember it, he turned around and just said to me "thats my spending money for the weekend covered", I just thought it was defeatist for one pro to bet on another

I heard the rumour down there that anybody that was knocked out of the first round would then go on and bet all their money on Taylor.

Not surprising really, but a bit defeatist imo

Terry Jenkins - been my favourite since I got into darts and still is - great seeing him come back to form - seven finals he lost were killers, but he usually gives a good account of himself

Just new to playing darts and this forum so go easy lol

Simon Whitlock for me too, seems like a very humble person

not into martin adams i thinks its because he is Mr BDO and not interested in the PDC at all.

Ronnie Baxter, always plays with a smile on his face.
met him in city west 6 or 7 years ago,he'd just got trounced by Taylor in the semi final but he still stood for photos and signed autographs.
i played him in a PDC event 3 years ago and missed 2 darts at d16 to beat him, also played him in an exhibition a few months ago and got a lovely picture with him and my young lad:D
On the other side of the coin i cant stand Martin Adams,he could be a lovely man but theres just something about him i cant warm to

    Ted Hankey for entertainment value.
    John Part for his attitude
Gary Anderson for one of the best attacks on the 60 iv seen, along with his missing doubles which makes him great to watch all round.

Martin Phillips, this could have been his year if he was on form in the first round and beat Harms.

In a nutshell, i want to see the Welsh lads do well ;).
