not especially bike related but...remember reading a thread during the summer about what exactly to do in event of an accident whether its a bike & car or car and car and the posters gave great advice in it. trying to locate that thread again but can't - anyone remember it?

my wife is going for her full license next Tuesday and it would be good for her to know, as well as myself, what exactly to do. have heard of some people getting screwed over for having neglected to do certain things after accident took place and don't want that to happen to her or me.

Always always always get insurance details of the other party (obv not if a cyclist, prob no insurance)
Take photos of cars, positions and damage
If no one injured and cars are movable no need to call the Gardai
once pics taken move cars so not blocking traffic
If hit a cyclist and they go off in ambulance make sure you or someone else gets contact details and takes the bike for them so it's not left there.
ask onlookers for details and if they'll give statement if required.

    I'm sure there's more but it's a start
