central locking not locking!

    on my 00 focus when i try lock car with central locking the car sounds like it goes to lock and then unlocks again, has me on the back foot this one has anyone any idea what could be the problem? cheers

    still havent got this sorted and its a pain having to lock the door separately, anyone idea ideas why its not locking?

    Pull the central locking fuse if its on its own and get it checked out fella.

    It could be the door lock is faulty, but first check the wiring loom going from the car into the door. You may have to pull back the rubber sleeve to see if any of the wires are split or damaged.

    The wiring loom does give trouble on some fords - same thing happened on my wifes mondeo. first time it was the locking mechanism sticking.

    Second time it was the loom
