    Hi all,

I'm currently doing my masters in accounting in Smurfit. I did commerce in UCD before it and I got a first class honours.

I found the Masters to be quite a step up from final year of undergrad in some areas such as Financial Accounting but not really much harder in tax.

I have a horrible feeling that the AITI exams (I'll be doing the 2nd and 3rd parts) will be massively harder. Is this the case?

It's completely subjective. Ultimately the AITI exams will be much more manageable if you are working in a mixed tax department on a daily basis.

Personally I found the exams very manageable but it's totally subjective.

If there's one piece of advise I could give you it would be to do a bit as you go along each year as opposed to leaving it all to study leave.

Also, if assignments do come up in your department in relation to re-organisations etc... then do your utmost to get involved with the assignment.
