Wow, I read this and was really excited. I've been to motorbike expo's abroad and they're brilliant, I've always wanted to go to an international standard bicycle one, but then I read this :(:

"We’ll be keeping it local, having people on the stands who actually own the businesses rather a team of PR people managing a massive stand for a major bike company."

Oh dear. This has always been the problem with Irish versions of such events. I've been to the Birmingham NEC for motorcycle shows and they're comprehensive and awesome in size and scope with all the razzmatazz of full international manufacturer backing. On the periphery then you have smaller business or local or domestic businesses. In Ireland there is sweet fcuk all manufacturer interest, so all you get is an expensive entry ticket to a Dublin motorcycle shop flea market with shops all flogging the same ol gear, no bargains, and 6 euro punnets of chips with industrial grade "red sauce".

I could hope against hope, I suppose, that this time it'll be different....

I don't think I've ever been to the RDS and not been disappointed.

    It's the failingest venue ever.
