Hi there, I've recently purchased a motor driven Skywatcher and was just wondering if instead of using 8 AA batteries could I use an AC adapter with a surge protector? I read somewhere that it might work. I have one with an output of 12V -1A, the manual says
"The mount power requirement is 12-Volts DC Nominal. The maximum voltage should not exceed 16 Volts and the minimum is 8 Volts."
So before I try it and fry my motor I thought I'd ask you guys.
