Sony Tablet S Issue

    Hey Guys,

We recently purchased a Sony Tablet S for testing purposes in our office but it's having a strange issue that I can't for the life of me figure out.

Most applications aren't available to us in the Android Marketplace for some reason. When I try and remotely install them from the Android Marketplace website it gives out about 'This application is currently not available in your region'.

It is though, stuff like Mozilla Firefox for example just will not install. The Google account is set to Ireland as are the language settings etc on the device itself.

Anybody got any ideas at all?

You could try an alternative market or signing out of the google account and resigning in with it again.
Are you rooted ? Maybe the market is reading the build.prop and isn't sure about some info on there ?

    Some more info here

As far as I know there's no root for this device at present. Yes I've tried everything that's mentioned in that thread.

I also tried market enabler but it doesn't seem to work. It appears that the settings are blank on this device country wise.

Everything I search for in the Market regardless of which account I sign in to it shows up in US$.

It's a very odd and frustrating issue.

Does the Tablet S ues SEUS/PCC?

If so, you should be able to use recovery mode and falshtool to stick in a UK/wherever firmware.

    EDIT: Nice Necro Bro
