    Hi
Looking for recommendations - three guys, early 30s not into museums. Enjoyed places like Munich, Cologne, Barcelona, London, Tallinn, Luxembourg.
All the hills in Lisbon gave me recurring ankle injuries and even though Berlin is a great city - too vast to be considered easy when you are spending 40 minutes commuting between places at night. Looking for a compact city that is a bit of fun and is a shortish flight from Dublin. Thanks

Spain is the country in Europe with the best cities in my view.

However I dont know flight situation at this time of year.

In order of preference for me in Spain would be
    San Sebastian, Seville, Barcelona.

    Elsewhere
Vienna is a super spot, but if its purely night life you are after I'm not sure.
    Budapest very enjoyable.
Istanbul a fantastic city, but maybe a bit far for you.
Personally, I wouldnt go to the Nordic towns as it could be very cold this time of year. I wasnt mad keen on Copennhagen, Helsinki or Oslo and I havent been to Stockholm.

To be fair to Rossie, it might be worth giving a full list of cities you have been in, if you are looking for a recommendation of a city you havent been to, so as not waste peoples time.

good point about the list. Have not been to ss, Seville, Budapest or Istanbul. So that will give me plenty to look into. Cheers

Madrid is often overlooked as a great weekend away - it has the benefit of both Ryanair and Aer Lingus flying there so flight prices are great. There are loads of great bars and you can pick a neighborhood to hang out in and do a good pub crawl in a fairly compact space. Great food and there's the bonus of going to a football match if you want.

Will try and track down the names of some pubs and restaurants we went to and the hotel we stayed in.

I actually ended up booking madrid. cant go wrong with a flight in or around 100 euro. If you manage to dig out that bar/hotel info, let me know...thanks

    Good choice.

Starting point if you go to Spanish cities you know you get fantastic food. Everything after that is a bonus.
