    Anyone know of any opens on this Saturday Jan 14th. GUI website showing Esker Hills and Enniscorthy. Anyone know of anywhere else?

    Michelstown, Naas, Portumna, Eskerhills and Spanish point all have opens on this Saturday according to the GUI website.

    Would any of these be qualifying for handicap purposes? Or is it all non qualifying at this time of year

    Anywhere playing 'preferred lies' won't have a cut in operation. But if you have a good score, post it on your home clubs "away scores" sheet and your Handicap Secretary will take it into consideration around the end of year review times.

    That's not correct. "Preferred lies" on the fairway only is fully counting.
