Working abroad summer 2012

    Hi everyone,
I'm a first year undergraduate student and me and a group of friends are thinking about working abroad for the summer. We will all be 19/20/21. Am thinking about going to Lanzarote or some of the tourist spots for barwork or promotional work.
Has anybody any experience in doing this? Is it better to go in person to the bars and apply or to sign up to a agency like playawayabroad.com?

Any advice, experience or information would be much appreciated! :)
