homeland is a great show, i think a 24 comparison is easy to say but i wouldnt consider them in anyway alike, they deal with terrorist threats to the US thats about it, sure didnt rubicon do a similar thing (i didnt get a chance to watch it but from what i understand thats what it dealt with),Homeland aint too bad though! (turning into 24 though )
i think the 12 ep approach of homeland is better for shows like this, trying to fill a 24 episode season is what made some seasons of 24 poor, its just to much time to fill in, and the story suffered for it in later seasons,
same goes for breakin bad, if they wre 24 ep seasons and there were 8 seasons it would go stale, instead we should get a great last season out of a great show that will always debated as to weather its better than the sopranos, the wire and the west wing,
so which is better

Hmm tossup between The Wire and Breaking bad.
I get the feeling that Breaking Bad could be tempted to stray into Wirelike analysis of the drug network thing at macro and micro levels, but really BB does remain character driven as the characters do develop and change according to circumstances. Really the characters in the wire dont develop or change as it;s same old same old drug story.0 -
