    Strange association here.

I'd like to know that too. Are we talking about best supporter of the national team (which Eirebhoy definitely was) or best supporter of League of Ireland football (which Eirebhoy never really got involved in).

If it's a LOI vote, then Applehunter should be in the voting at least. I will go with Pinturicchio though. If it's a national team vote, then none of those people.

Nominated and picked Pinturicchio for going to Galway games home and away this season when any sane person would've had a quiet word with themselves. Full credit for that :)

Is such mentalism worthy of credit? For God sake don't be encouraging such folk! ;)

Maybe. But why not "Poster of the year" or "Supporter of the year".

Who's ootbitb, and more importantly, who nominated them?

    I voted for Des, he's a legend

Weird how every year you get people in this thread saying that supporting an Irish club week in week out and being members and unpaid volunteers at those clubs isn't a service to Irish football.

    If that isn't, what is?

Lighten up,. It's a lighthearted internet poll.

Getting a drink bought for you in Eastern Europe on a train.

Being the one who caught Dear Leader's tie.

Keeping an eye on the granny rulers in the Blue Square North and making the odd post about them on fool.ie

Took a bit of searching: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=75308637

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Didn't even realise I was nominated. Let's hope I've got a team to follow next season.

ootbitb set up the Finn Harps thread apparently.

that was the basis of the nomination.

i just did what i was told :)

Went for Des. Mainly because I imagine him having a massive moustache, and because he is Mr Alan's dad.

Also he shouts for an Irish team that has/had people outside the ground who were good enough to ask someone with a scouse twang if he wanted his car looked after. Made me feel at home. :D
