New desktop please advise

I have had a read through the forum and I have no idea how to build a PC:o, I was wondering if ye could advise me of a good desktop mainly used for Internet, Streaming the odd programme and photos? any advice

Budget is about 500-600 euro. I need a monitor (would like a 21 inch)!

That gives you everything but keyboard and mouse. It also has a wireless adapter for internet access, a copy of Windows 7, a 21.5" 1080p monitor, and they'll build it for you.

Havdwareversand.de. They're based in Germany. Everyone here uses them.

Each individual item is covered by its own warranty. You should note that they only take bank transfers (or paypal for 3% extra + some limit to how much you can pay this way) which is more popular than credit cards in Germany.

A few possible amendments to Serephucus' build:

If Serephucus will forgive me for altering(defiling) his nice build, I may as well throw out the uber cheapo AMD version.

Unless funds are really really tight I would much more strongly reccomend spending the extra 100 or so on the above build as it offers much better upgrade paths and longevity. But this would be alright for basic usage for a few years once you know that in a few years it would probably a bit more more costly to upgrade (You would probably have to replace the CPU and Mobo together as it will be long dead socket type by then)

If you're a student, you can save money by getting windows from software4students.ie
