I've been looking at reusing some old parts to build a HTPC, I have a 775 socket CPU and a HDD, so was looking at buying the other parts (GPU, RAM, Mobo, Case and PSU) but then I saw these

    Asus V6-P5G41E or Asus V7-P5G41E

Which have case, motherboard and 380 watt PSU, killing a few birds with one stone... anyone have any opinions on these packages? it'd save me a few quid - cover the cost of the RAM or the GPU like.

PS the motherboard will do the job for what I want I think.

Is noise not an issue, first deciding factor for me and my own HTPC was absolute silence.

well, it is a consideration, so it's just the PSU cooling that I wouldn't have control over? or do you mean that the case itself wouldn't be cool enough?

    Edit

The CPU i have is an Intel QX 6700, which has a max TDP of 130W... I don't want to shell out on a new CPU to be honest, but am i wasting my time trying to get a machine with this CPU to run quietly (asssuming i don't use a barebones machine case, but something more like a Coolermaster Elite 360 full of low RPM fans?)

No, I just reckon it would be noisy

What set-up do you have in your HTPC?

I'll be adding a combo tuner card and a 2TB drive later
