Just seen it on Skynews !! Holy shiit the weather is mad this year. We are getting nothing up here in Norway while all the European resorts are snowed in. It was the other was around last year !

Just checked the snow depth levels at St.Anton:

    Top: 535cm
    Valley: 135cm

    5 meters !! I think I'm booking myself a last minute holiday !

Was mad in Austria last week, 2 m of snow fell in 2 days. On way out went down a road and it was just blocked up with snow, they where having too much problems trying to keep main routes open.

Think the really crazy weather must have gone around us. Was snowing the last few days, but nothing like that much. Lovely clear day today though.

That article has been taken down now - apparently the picture was from Japan!
In common with other newspapers,we published an agency picture yesterday to accompany a story about freak snowfalls in the Alps which was captioned as showing a snow-bound road in Austria. We now understand that, in contrary to the information supplied by the agency, the road is in fact in Japan.

The give away would be that all the cars were driving on the left!!!
