Just got a 2nd hand Sram Red groupset and it needs a new bottom bracket . Any advice on what you guys are using ? Its a standard threaded bottom bracket (english type ) but i believe that the diameter on the left hand cup is smaller that on the drive side . Thanks .

Spend enough time on competitivecyclist and you will indeed believe you need a ceramic BB. :pac:

The ceramic one is not only ridiculously expensive but also uses lighter grease and therefore requires more frequent maintenance. In other words it's more expensive and more crap.

Careful reading the instructions, specifically the bit about spacers. It's a bit confusing as the same part can be used on MTBs. Normally you don't need the spacers on a road bike. The cranks should spin freely when the BB is fully torqued. From what I remember.

The Ceramic one is 4 or 5 grams lighter and 100 euro more expensive. The Ceramic one doesn't last very long in my experience. Just get the regular GXP.
