Anyone know how to find out how much the clubs in the top tiers in England and Scotland are worth?

Just in case I win the Euromillions :p

Tried googling and while Forbes had something on the Premiership clubs I couldn't find anything on the Championship and Scottish sides.

You could probably pick Darlington up quite cheap...

Your best bet would be to order a copy of compant accounts and make a valuation based on the turnover/assets. There would be penty of variables even then to take into account and I don't think you would ever know a vaguely accurate figure unless you were ina position to make a bid and negotiate.

You could always try football manager.....
I'm always amazed at the level of detail in that game

You look over the accounts, take into account all assets, all loans/debts etc. and come up with a valuation from there.

You need to take into account potential growth on the commercial side, and how much of your own money you will need to invest, after purchase, to get to that level where it makes it a good business propsition, thats the only thing that makes it an attractive proposition anyway.

If you are buying a football club you can never be caught up with the sporting part of it! success on the field is important of course for building fan base and growing the reputation of the brand. But the money is in your fan base' pockets and at the end of the day thats what football is about these days (at the high levels anyway)
