Michael Ring put it up to Pat Hickey on Prime time tonite and the fiasco of Ireland's missed opportunity in securing teams to base here for the London olympics.

I thought he floundered half way through praising the state agencies for their hard work and the two committees set up to attract athletes here. He is less formidable on TV than radio.

For sure a legacy of poor planning and a lack of focus from the previous government.

The aquatic centre has secured some teams - UA synchronised swimming team, water polo team and the GB swim team.
