I found out on the RTE 6.1 news this evening that Mary Raftery has died at the age of 54. The report was seen again on the 9 O'Clock News.

RTE didn't say what was her cause of her death, but it was mentioned from the Irish Times that she died in St Vincent's Hospital this morning.

I wonder that now she is gone, who is going overlook her advocacy over the sex abuse scandals from the Catholic Church?

    May She Rest in Peace.

Does anyone know what kind of cancer she had? Patsy McGarry said on Pat Kenny that she had been ill since 2010 but had been in remission some of the time, during which she made her programmes on the psychiatric system. She was a wonderful person.

She had died of Ovarian Cancer. There is a feature on her in today's Irish Independent Weekend Review supplement.

Does anyone know where I could geta copy of the original States of Fear documentary? I understand that it was broadcast in 1999 over three episodes but I have been unable to find it anywhere.

Any pointers or help would be much appreciated...
