Youtube wont buffer

This is driving me mad. The last month or so youtube wont pre buffer for me. In the past i would just pause at the start of the video and wait for it to finish buffering and then play it, was able to go to different points in video if i wanted. Now if i want to skip through the video it starts to buffer again from that point. It seems to be getting worse and slower loading by each day. It has actually made youtube unwatchable to me. Have already tried clearing cookies and all that but makes no difference.

Who is your internet provider? Also try changing DNS settings as instructed here to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 and see if things improve

No look with that, it just goes back to auto DNS for me anyway.

I googled the problem and it seems a lot of people are having this problem, with no solutions from anyone :(

Im using firefox. Just tried IE but same problem there too.

I'm guessing the problem is your using mobile broadband, really those things can be useless, do a www.speedtest.net and www.pingtest.net and let us know the results.

Yeah connection is dog slow at times. like now.couldn't really load those pages for the tests for some reason. I did the ping test option that is on the 3 interface i have .....

    Minimum 1216ms.....Maximum 1581ms........Ave 1393ms

Sometimes its better, sometimes it times out. I can deal with that tbh and its usually fine for boards.

My problem really lies with youtube though. For instance there I left that IE window open and when i went back to it it had actually buffered, the gray bar moving up, the red bar being the the play itself. But as soon as i full screen it all the buffer didapears and im back to square one. like i said it seems to be a common problem people are having with youtube. I didn't have this problem when I first got the broadband.

Yeah I'd point the blame at the broadband provider in this instance, those pings are absolutely atrocious so all things will probably lag like mad, youtube included

Mobile broadband is not the same as fixed line, the seeps on Mobile are a lot slower, it like ISDN in the old days , so watching streaming video kinda out of the question.
