I went to a job fair awhile ago and gave my C.V. to a few places. Thought nothing of it i got a phone call off a company i worked with years ago on work experience during college. It was in a different department i used to work in Fund Accountancy but this job was in Transfer Agency department. So the girl said the interviews were that Friday morning i explained i was doing my final exams of a sage course i was doing that morning and could i ring her back. She said to let her know by the next day which was Wednesday so i rang up and she said alot of people thought it was too short notice and she would ring me and let me know when the interviews were going to take place. So heard nothing and rang back the Monday and she was out of office and her co worker didnt know anything about any jobs and said she would ring me back. That was at the end of November and i was hoping maybe they were waiting until after Christmas. But still heard nothing. Would you ring them up or would you look desperate, i am desperate im going off my head doing nothing while my degree is becoming worthless.

Ring them first thing in the mornung. Be persistant but polite until you get to speak to this woman. Remember its an employers market out there and you can't wait around for some one to offer you a job! Don't be dissapointed if the job is gone but ask them to keep your cv on file for any jobs in the future.
