Problem with heating in 2 rooms - ground source Thermia heatpump

    Hi folks,

Heat pump was installed in July. It's a Thermia 16k ground source heat pump. We moved into the house in September.

We noticed one of the bedrooms at the front of the house wasn't heating correctly when we moved in. The rest of the house would be at the 18 to 20 degrees that we have the pump set at but that room tends to stay at about 15 to 16 degrees. It can even go down to 14 degrees on cold nights but I've noticed that the light on the stat is constantly on and never goes off. Its always looking for heat.

Anyway, we then noticed the same seemed to be happening in our own bed room after a few weeks. It was falling to 14 to 15 degrees on some cold nights and the light on the stat never seemed to go off.

I rang the supplier and they told me to unscrew the tops for the stats on the manifold and let it run directly off the pump. I did this but the rooms still didn't improve in terms of heat. We have three manifolds in the house. One on each floor and the heatpump is on the bottom floor of the house.

The supplier then came out and reckoned it was a balancing problem. They said they rebalanced it and said to give it two weeks. Three weeks later both rooms were the same (we even had to change rooms over the cold weather) and they arrived out again. Again a balancing issue and give it two weeks.

Two weeks are now up and the rooms are still the same. The supplier are saying they will balance it again and that there are always issues with new heatpumps and teething problems re balancing the system. This will be the third time they've been out though and I'm seriously getting annoyed. A few people have commented to me that I should get someone independent to have a look at the heatpump but then how much is that going to cost me? Also, would it void my warranty?

I was just wondering if anyone on here had any ideas. Are they telling the truth re balancing issues with new heatpumps? The worker who came out told me that we should just leave the heatpump to the settings he has it set at and not touch it. He says he's set it to the optimum settings and if we've any problems ring them each time. Each time they take ten days to come out though as that's their turnaround time so it's getting annoying at this stage.

Another strange thing was that their worker took all the rooms downstairs that we would regularly be in (kitchen, sitting room, play room) off the stats and said its easier to just run them directly off the pump. What was the point of putting stats in those rooms then though?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
