Hi I recently purchased a new philips tv. I was succesfully able to install all the saorview channels onto it. I also have sky fed into the tv from another room using the rf2 outlet. The uhf aeriel and the sky rf2 outlet are both fed into a distributor in my attic and from there distributed around the house. One of these feeds is going into my new tv. However when i switch the sky box on, I loose all the saorview channels. There is just a blank screen with no picture or sound. The old analogue rte, tv3 etc are still on the tv but not the digital channels. When i turn off the sky box again, all saorview channels return as before. Would anyone have any solution to this problem please. Thanks

More likely a conflict between the Sky box RF channel & the Saorview UHF channel.

OP, see if you can find out the channel no. your tv is tuned to when viewing the Sky channels & compare this to the channel used by Saorview (or tell us your location/transmitter you receive from).

Thanks guys for the fast responses. Peter you could be right about channel conflict. I just checked the saorview coverage map and reckon that I 'm receiving a signal from the MULLAGHANISH mast which has a channel 21 signal. I'm not at home now but I reckon my sky rf output is around that number aswell. Will check it later, Thanks

Don't forget the Sky Modulator blocks the next lower channel and also creates interference on other channels.

Putting the Sky channel more than 1 channel above the Digital is best selection.

How many channels up did you move it? UHF channel 24 is Mux 2 for Mullaghanish and they occasionally switch it on for testing.
