    Impressions? I know it's a long way to go to beat XBMC, but I can see it already as a better choice than MythTV/Mythbuntu. I'll certainly give it a go. Hopefully the community will get behind it

    Might give it a try. It seems to use XBMC
    Though I really don't like the new screen set-up.

    Then change it :p the beauty of open source is that you make it what you want. I quite like it, with a bit of skinning and fanart it will look amazing. I hate the unity interface on the desktop, but it certainly has a place here.

    Looks interesting enough.

    But I have OpenElec on my HTPC because I wanted something close to an appliance with minimal messing around and config. If you've got to bring up the command prompt and do sudo this and apt-get that then it'll never catch on with normal people.

    deal breaker for me
    dose anybody know if it has a bit client support,
    i don't see the software center or web browser. anybody have any knowledge about that.
    also a 1tb hard drive is a MUST

    i noticed from the pics there seam to be all of English channels on the guide and their showing it off in the ces in vagas this week ... just seams strange
    .

    If I wanted to get into changing things I wouldn't be using Ubuntu, would I? :D

    But maybe you're right, perhaps it does work as a media player interface.
