Does anyone know, if I cut a 25mg patch in half does that make it a 12.5mg patch instead. I'm on the 15mg patch at the moment and slowly reducing them, someone gave me a free box of 25mg but I don't want to use them if I'm taking a step backwards.

No it doesn't. Patches are medication - either use them in the method prescribed or not at all.
