I think I've fallen in love with the Tanglewood TW40 O with Fishman pick-up.

Anyone have (experience with) this guitar? Any comments to make?

That one of the parlour shaped ones? My Julie has one of them , she loves it . I messed around with it a few times, very nice it is too.

I played a Tanglewood TW47 (in Music Box Navan) when I was looking for a new guitar a little while ago. I loved it, and was very tempted but ended up buying a Martin.

The TW47 looks pretty much the same as the TW40, except that the TW47 is all mahogany, and is a little bigger. These are great guitars, well-made, comfortable and great-sounding acoustically and plugged-in. Great for fingerpicking, but maybe a little boxy-sounding if you're going to be pounding out chords with a heavy hand.

It's obviously not going to project as well as a dreadnought, but assuming you're going to be plugged in or miked up this shouldn't be a problem. Not ideal for busking unplugged though.

I bit the bullet and bought it. I'm well chuffed. The tone and feel is incredible. Tuned down to open G#m, it sounds saweet playing this tune:
