The old NSX was a stunning machine. This is too, but they look nothing alike. Thought they'd try to keep some of the old lines.

always liked the NSX, new one looks a bit like any other car in the pics, guess it might look slightly different in 3 year time if they produce it

+1 - and those wheels are poxy, look like after market sh1te on a scroatemobile.

I find this quote worrying; "The car development will be led by the US". The US produces some great looking cars but isn't renowned for making sharp, light and tactile driving machines, which the original NSX was.

It would have been cool if they involved Bruno Senna in the development to carry on the Senna/NSX legacy and also lend it some kudos from having an F1 driver involved.

I really hope it turns out to be a proper driver's car, big fan of the NSX and would like to see it continue.

I like it, but I would still take the last version of the NSX Type R though

It's been in the pipelines for a while, I asked Honda Ireland could I have one to test when it was launched.... they haven't come back to me yet so fingers crossed :D

    Bruno Senna and kudos?
    Doesn't spring to mind...

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Honda have been talking about it for years. And now it still is only a concept and they are expecting it to be released in 3 years time

I'll see it when if it gets there

    Better late than never imo.

It will get plenty of product placement too in the upcoming Avengers movie though it will wear the Acura badge:

I like it but does anyone else think the front looks a little....over-styled.

Also it has a bit of a generic high-end sports car look about it. The old NSX had some very unique features. This new one doesn't.

    I still like it though.

It'll be here by 2014, Honda are due to begin taking orders on them in early 2013 so I'm told. Generally when Honda say something is coming it generally comes too

Doubt they will sell any here as they will not be offering a diesel model that costs €160 a year to tax. :pac:

It's not very "Honda/Jap" looking is it. Looks more like an Audi. :(

Honda Ireland haven't come back to you yet because they don't know what you're talking about...
"Some fella mailed us asking about some NSX thingy? Is that a bike or lawnmower?" "Ah just ignore it, he's probably confused... while you're at it, throw a few hundred quid onto the list price of our range... it's been a few hours since we did it".

I hope Honda make a good job of this. It's got a seriously tough act to follow.

Honda Ireland announced on their very own facebook page back in December that the NSX would be unveiled at the Detroit Show in January so I would imagine they do :D

Funny -the old NSX was hardly a sales success, despite all the purple prose, the link to Ayrton Senna etc.

This is a halo car because Honda know they need to pull the finger out. There's a danger it's more marketing than engineering exercise this time around though...

heard about this the other day.
They had a clay model at one of the motor shows last year, although wearing an Acura badge at the time, also heard it may have a hybrid engine.

Yep, the photos on that website has it as an Acura and also states something about hyrid.
