There's a video-link on this on the DM website.

One minute, the guy is making an announcement, appearing quite normal, and the next minute he shoots himself in the head (this being off-screen).

I can't imagine why the guy goes from being normal to suicidal in such a short space of time.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2084259/Polish-prosecutor-Mikolaj-Przybyl-shoots-news-conference.html
A Polish prosecutor shot himself today in dramatic footage caught on film in his office after cutting short a news conference.
Moments earlier, he had defended a military investigation into leaks related to a plane crash that killed Poland's president two years ago.
At the start of the conference at his office in Poznan, Colonel Mikolaj Przybyl said: 'During my entire service as a civilian and later military prosecutor, I have never brought shame to the Republic of Poland and I will protect the honour of an officer of the Polish armed forces and prosecution.

'Thank you, please give me a five-minute break, I need to rest,' Przybyl said, as the reporters then leave the room.

I guess he had a lot of pressure on his shoulders from Polish politicians and establishment, media etc. That was a historic crash for Poland so the pressure must have been off the charts.

Aren't they still trying to pin it on the Russians?

I believe so. From that article he was investigating issues including leaks to the media surrounding the Crash investigation. I don't think the Russians did themselves any favours when their soldiers (2 of them) were found to have looted the dead bodies for credit cards etc.

he's at a press conference its not surprising he looks "normal", a lot of the time people can seem their most content right before they do try and complete suicide because they have made up their mind, very well documented with incidents at the Golden gate bridge people will be going about their business "normally" one second and then jump, although not always broke my heart to hear about a case where a man stood there or sat on the edge for the whole day even standing at the other side of the railings and people just passed him by. But this man seemed like he had decided what he wanted and did not risk an intervention which is sad he didn't want to be stopped.
But obviously thats not an easy situation to be in and that was his escape plan, man I wish this shocked me anymore just goes to show the invitations or signs can be so subtle almost non existent.

Budd Dwyer did the same thing more or less only he didn't ask for a break, he just did it on camera.

    Check out live leak.

Most naive thing I've heard in a while. He obviously didn't just change like that. He obviously appears composed, but I guarantee you he planned this in advance.

I nearly watched that video on Dwyer's suicide, I think I had see a gif before, but couldn't bring myself to watch it....... it felt wrong, like even though it was on public tv, it doesn't make it right to view it.

Speaking to state news agency PAP about his suicide bid from his hospital bed, Mikolaj Pryzbyl explained how he had wanted to protect the honour of future prosecutors
