    Hi all :)

I have been looking everywhere and can't find the answer

What style of plate is on this bus?

    Navan8.JPG

It isn't German as there is no strike through the "0"

    Thanks for any help :)

    This would be my guess

Seems bus eireann use plastic plates, most of these are made through d&s roe software on rennicks reflective backings.

Sometimes the software goes arseways, you can use uk font, should come out like that.
Another explanation is that the software didn't work (it happens) and they used a program like excel to print out the plates.

Therefore if it is perfectly ok for Bus Eirenn to use those plates then German style font should be ok as well.

I think I know where you're coming from, a friend of mine used to work in a motor factors. He used word for the font and something else for printing.

Those particular plates are metal pressed, I must get a better photo someday (linked from google search)

Serck font wasn't legal, was it?

Looks like the French Font, where are the AM buses made?
They all have the same font on their plates, maybe the factory did a job lot on them and sent them over complete from the Yard?

There's no specific font listed to be used in the RTA, there are only specifications that plates must meet, eg the EU flag, etc etc

I've been looking around for that particular font since, no one seems to know or wants to know

Saw a Berlingo van in Ardee with them and looked to be on for a while, someone out there does sell them to the public!

Afaik in regards to serck we had a similar font on pre 1991 cars registered from 1987 wit the new system. They don't have the eu flag, county in Irish etc. On such cars those plates are legal :)

Funny, i've been wondering the same myself the last few weeks, there's at least one bus in Dundalk with a similar plate. Think it looks pretty cool.
