    Will this be on sky?

Hope this is on Sky, most of the best players seem to be there. Be great to see some quality darts again after enduring the last couple of days rubbish BDO stuff.

Some strong teams there, but Spain might upset a few again and cud be a good outsider bet.

id fancy Belgium to do quite well if huybrechts plays as good as he did in the worlds.

but its hard to bet against a duo of Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis.

oh wont it be great to see some 3 figure averages again

Heard of McGowan before, decent thrower. Looking at the draw there if we beat Malaysia we play Germany?

McGowan last time i seen was throwing terribly down in Mount Wolsley in the Players Championship. If McGowan plays like that i'd be backing Malaysia unless O'Connor puts on a masterclass!

How was the Irish team picked? Thought Connie Finnan/Shane O'Connor would have been close to being Ireland's representatives

Teams are selected directly from the PDC Order of Merit.
Top two current PDC Republic of Ireland players - William O'Connor and Mick McGowan and Northern Ireland - Brendan Dolan and Mickey Mansell.

Mcgowan has been throwing rubbish for at least the last 2 years
I felt sorry for Willie last year,he was averaging 100+ with mick around 60,
i know they have no choice only to pick mcgowan because of his ranking, its just a pity,as you say connie finnan or shane o connor would give Ireland some hope.
    I hope i'm proved wrong;)

When people have achieved what Mick has in the pdc then they might deserve a spot. Neither Shane nor connie have done this, or for that matter any player from the republic. So he is there on merit.
